Shuttered Combo Fast Food Outposts To Reopen As Standalone Taco Bells: Reports

The KFC and Taco Bell locations that closed in Sandwich and Yorkville will reopen as standalone Taco Bell restaurants, according to reports.

YORKVILLE, IL — The two combination KFC and Taco Bell locations in Yorkville and Sandwich, both abruptly shuttered in early August, are reopening as standalone Taco Bell restaurants, according to reports.

Both locations — 221 W. Veterans Parkway in Yorkville and 130 Duvick Ave. in Sandwich — are under new ownership. KFC signs and equipment are being removed, and the restaurants are being remodeled with other improvements, according to WSPY News.

On Aug. 4, the drive-thru menu boards were removed and signs were posted across the doors and drive-thru, sending customers to locations in Oswego and Montgomery.

The Yorkville Taco Bell, sans KFC, is reopening its revamped location, spanning 2,950 square feet, this fall, according to a report from Shaw Local.
