Throwing Cheesey Water and Firing a Rifle Inside: Yorkville Crime Summary

Yorkville may not have much crime, but it can be interesting sometimes

The following information was obtained from Yorkville Police reports:

On Saturday, shortly after 1 a.m., Benjamin Enoch, 28, was arrested on the 100 block of Bertam Drive for outstanding warrants.

Jorge Chavez was arrested Saturday night for driving with a suspended license. He was initially stopped by police on Route 34 at Center Parkway for driving without his headlights on.

On Sunday night, Joseph Malacara, a 19-year-old from Plano, threw a water that had a "hint of cheese" at a female victim on the 600 block of Center Parkway. No complaint was signed against Malacara.

Around 11:30 p.m. on Sunday, Stefan Morgan accidentally fired a rifle while cleaning it at his residence on the 2200 block of Beresford Drive. The bullet passed through a wall and was lodged in the stairway of a neighboring unit. No injuries were reported and Morgan was cited for discharging a firearm within city limits.

There were also eight minor vehicle accidents between Thursday and Sunday.

An arrest or charge of a crime is not a finding of guilt.
