Veterans Day Events Hosted By Waubonsee Community College
Waubonsee Community College hosts Vietnam veteran and associate professor for events.

SUGAR GROVE, IL — Waubonsee Community College will be honoring veterans this week through two Veterans Day events. "Through the Eyes of Veterans: Images and Stories of Vietnam" is a photography presentation by Jim Davidson. Davidson, of North Aurora, was an infantryman and helicopter door gunner in 1968 and 1969 in Vietnam. He'll show his photographs Nov. 9 at 7 p.m. in the multipurpose room on the Aurora Downtown Campus at 18 S. River St.
An informal and interactive event will be held the following day, Friday, at 11:15 a.m. at the Waubonsee Sugar Grove campus on Rt. 47 in the Student Center Cafe. Associate Professor of History, Dr. Amy Powers, will give the keynote address. Guests can check out student projects about World War I and music performances from the college's music program. Both of these events are free and open to the public.
