Yorkville Candidate Dropped From Ballot For Minor Error
His two page ballot petition didn't have page numbers

Andrew Graham, one of two candidates for Ward 4 Alderman, was removed from April's ballot because he did not have page numbers on both sheets of his candidacy petition, according to Kendall County Now. The decision was made of the city's electoral board on Tuesday night.
The other candidate, Alejandro Hernandez, objected to Graham's candidacy petition, because the lack of page numbers was in violation of the state election code.
Illinois state law requires nominating petitions to be "numbered consecutively."

Page numbers are required to "preclude any attempts to alter the submission of the candidate," Kathleen Orr, the Yorkville city attorney, said in an email to Patch. She also cited three cases where courts upheld the page number requirement.
Orr told Kendall County Now that Graham can appeal the board's ruling in Kendall County Court.
