Indianapolis-Area Farmers Market Locations, Opening Dates

May is officially here, bringing with it the official start to farmers market season. While Indy City Market' Original Farmers' Market opens at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 2, many more area farmers' markets are opening on Saturday, May 5.

Carmel Farmers Market

The Carmel Farmers Market is celebrating 20 years when vendors open at 8 a.m Saturday, May 5. Community members can enjoy nearly 70 Indiana-based food growers and producers until 11:30 a.m. every Saturday through September on the Center Green, at the Center for the Performing Arts campus.

Farmers Market organizers say they have many fun activities planned for the whole family during this 20th year Summer of Celebration, including Jim Keckley Donut Day on May 5, where free donuts are handed out in honor of their original Market president.

No pets are allowed at this market.

Fishers Farmers' Market

Live in Fishers? The summer Fishers Farmers’ Market presented by IU Health Saxony returns to the Nickel Plate District at 8 a.m. on Saturday, May 5. The market full of more than 60 full and part-time local vendors will run through Saturday, Sept. 29.

Fishers Farmers' Market organizers say parking is available in The Depot and The Switch parking garages (see the Parking Map for details).

The first 100 shoppers will receive a complementary reusable tote.

Broad Ripple Farmers Market

This popular market opens for the season at 8 a.m. May 5 and runs until noon every Saturday through September at Broad Ripple High School. This market features dozens of vendors every Saturday.

Noblesville Farmers Market

You'll have 24 chances to try out this one, as that's how many Saturday's Noblesville Farmers Market is open beginning 8 a.m. on Saturday, May 5, on Main Street. Noblesville Farmers Market runs until noon every Saturday through Oct. 13.

Don't miss this one, as it's the oldest and largest farmers market in Hamilton County with more than 80 vendors. Enjoy farm-fresh homegrown produce, plants, spices, wines, salsas, jams, jellies, locally handmade items, baked goods, soaps, jewelry, artwork, pet products, a food court, live performers and so much more.
