Pacers fan found guilty for stabbing Knicks fan at Carmel bar (youarecurrent.com) — A Hamilton County jury has convicted a Westfield man of multiple charges after a stabbing that happened in May on the back patio of Danny Boy Beer Works in Carmel’s Village of WestClay. Prosecutors said the attack followed a Pacers–Knicks playoff game watch, and the victim from Noblesville suffered serious injuries. Sentencing is set for mid-January, and a related civil lawsuit against the bar is still pending.
   

2. Friday Night Fast Break Play of the Game nominees: December 12 (fox59.com) — Carmel High School’s boys basketball team is in the spotlight after a highlight-reel fast break by Julian Vogt and Evan Harrell was named a nominee for Friday Night Fast Break Play of the Game. Their steal and lob finish against Noblesville capped a big Greyhounds win. Fans can now vote to decide if Carmel’s play tops the statewide field.
   

3. SBI: Sometimes it is OK to say 'no' when seeking work-life balance (turfnet.com) — A superintendent from Crooked Stick Golf Club in Carmel joined peers nationwide at the Syngenta Business Institute to explore healthier work-life balance. Wake Forest University experts urged attendees to define their values, learn to say no, and share responsibilities so they can be fully present both at work and at home.
   

4. Cicero Gets More Than $400,000 for Roads (thetimes24-7.com) — Carmel residents may be interested that nearby Cicero is receiving more than $426,000 in state matching funds to improve local roads and bridges. The grant comes through Indiana’s Community Crossings program, which supports infrastructure upgrades across Senate District 20, including Carmel, Noblesville, Cicero and unincorporated parts of Hamilton County.
