Orange Level Travel Watch For These Hamilton County Areas

These Hamilton County areas remain under orange level Travel Watch. What this means for you.

HAMILTON COUNTY, IN — The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office announced an orange level Travel Watch Sunday, Jan. 20 for Hamilton County roads. The sheriff's office said due to road conditions and extremely low temperatures preventing salt from working effectively on pavement, roads in unincorporated areas of Hamilton County remain under the watch.

A "Travel Watch," according to the sheriff's office, means that conditions are threatening to the safety of the public, and only essential travel, such as to and from work or in emergency situations, is recommended.

The sheriff's office adds that emergency action plans should be implemented by businesses, schools, government agencies, and other organizations.
