Evansville woman arrested for child neglect (tristatehomepage.com) — Evansville Police say an Evansville woman was arrested after three young children were reportedly found home alone in a residence with old food and alcohol within reach. The children were removed by DCS, and the woman was later booked into the Vanderburgh County Jail on a neglect-related warrant.

Some Tri-State businesses have special hours on Christmas Holiday (14news.com) — If you found yourself short on groceries Christmas Day in Evansville, Earth Food Mart on East Lloyd Expressway was one of the few places open with special hours. Shoppers took advantage of the extended time and unusually warm 60-degree weather to grab last-minute essentials and treats.
