The following report was due by Nov. 30, 2018, according to ISP.

INDIANAPOLIS, IN — The Indiana State Police announce the results of the Thanksgiving Holiday Project Combined Accident Reduction Effort (C.A.R.E.) results. The five-day lifesaving enforcement project ran from Nov. 21 through the 25, and involves more than three dozen local and state law enforcement agencies from across the U.S.

According to ISP, most of the information in the results shown below is self-explanatory, but take note that ‘CMV’ stands for Commercial Motor Vehicle and ‘Motorist Assists’ reflects the number of times motorists were helped roadside by state police officers.

Examples of the type of assistance provided roadside, according to police, would include help with directions, changing a flat tire, calling a tow truck, getting fuel, and more.
