- Edgelea Elementary and Thomas Miller Elementary schools, located in the Lafayette School Corp. district in Tippecanoe County, have been recognized as Family Friendly Schools by the Indiana Department of Education. These schools were selected among 91 designated schools across the state for their excellence in engaging families in their children's education and addressing their academic, physical, emotional, and social needs. The schools' commitment to strong partnerships between educators and families, open communication, collaboration, and shared decision-making contributed to their achievement of this designation.
