• New camera helps Lafayette police identify bruising, gunshot residue (jconline.com) — Lafayette police now have a new infrared and ultraviolet camera kit to better document bruises, strangulation marks, and gunshot residue in domestic violence and sexual assault cases. Donated by a West Lafayette resident, the mobile device complements the Center of Hope’s existing forensic camera system and is already helping officers and nurses gather clearer evidence that can strongly influence juries and court outcomes.
   

• Seeger hires former Lafayette Jeff DC Scott Cronk as head coach (jconline.com) — A longtime Lafayette Jeff assistant coach, Scott Kronk, is taking over Seeger’s football program after helping guide the Bronchos to multiple sectional, regional, and semi-state titles. The move keeps a strong Lafayette coaching connection in the region, as Kronk returns to a school where he previously helped win a state championship and now aims to build on Seeger’s recent nine-win season.
