  1. A "misconduct allegations" investigation has been launched into a former staff member at a Catholic church, in nearby Kokomo. On Jun. 5, Rev. Fr. Christopher Shocklee released a statement on the St. Patrick Catholic Church website addressing misconduct allegations against a former employee without revealing the individual's identity. Rev. Shocklee expressed the significance of ensuring the safety and well-being of children and young people. The investigation is ongoing. (WRTV)
  2. Colin Lee, a 19-year-old sophomore majoring in biochemistry at Purdue, joined the West Lafayette City Council on Monday. Lee is filling the vacant seat recently belonging to Councilor Ted Hardesty. Lee’s position will largely represent Purdue students, and he intends to strengthen the city-university partnership. Lee has planned to complete Hardesty’s term before running for reelection later this year in the fall. (WBAA)
  3. At the Lafayette city council meeting on Monday, Jun. 5, the fiscal plan for the annexation of the Carr family land was unanimously approved by the council. This approval demonstrates Lafayette's capability to offer necessary services for the upkeep of the land. (wlfi 18)
