Here are the top three stories today in Lafayette:

  1. The grand opening ceremony for the new Public Safety Center brought out several area leaders. Mayor Tony Roswarski and Police Chief Scott Galloway spoke at the ribbon cutting. The $51 million dollar building will feature an amenity deck that will act as a public parking space for the community. Though the building is not officially open, law enforcement and city employees have started to transition to the new space. (Journal & Courier)
  2. Lafayette School Corporation has decided to not change start times for 2023-24 school year. A proposed start time change was discussed at April's school board meeting.
