• Davenport woman arrested, charged in drive-by shooting (ourquadcities.com) — Davenport police arrested an 18-year-old woman after a drive-by shooting on Myrtle Street, where shots were fired at an occupied home and a running vehicle. Officers later found a handgun, ammunition, and marijuana during searches, and the suspect is being held in Scott County Jail without bond pending her initial court appearance.

• Davenport approves stray cat program (qconline.com) — Davenport residents will soon see a new approach to managing stray cats after the City Council approved an ordinance change allowing trap-neuter-release. The program focuses on humanely controlling the community cat population through trapping, sterilizing, and returning animals, with local partners expected to help carry out the work.
