The boost will help provide about 250,000 meals across the food bank’s 23-county service area, strengthening hunger relief efforts rooted in Davenport.
   

4. Muscatine man arrested in Davenport; accused of driving wrong way, eluding (ourquadcities.com) — An early-morning traffic stop in Davenport turned into a dangerous pursuit after a driver allegedly made a U-turn over a median, sped through oncoming lanes on Tremont Street, and nearly struck an Iowa State Trooper. The suspect, a Muscatine man barred from driving in Iowa, was later caught in a cornfield, showed signs of impairment, and is being held in Scott County Jail without bond.
