Uncover Clues with Agatha Christie Expert at Wordsmith Bookshoppe
Fresh from the International Agatha Christie Festival in Torquay, England, author Kate Gingold will be signing books in Galesburg.

The Wordsmith Bookshoppe will host author, historian, and Agatha Christie fan, Kate Gingold, on Friday, October 25, from 1:00p until 3:00p. Gingold will be available to talk all things Christie and sign copies of her book Agatha Annotated: Investigating the Books of the 1920s.
Agatha Annotated is a glossary of terms from Christie’s earliest novels, those written in the 1920s, over one hundred years ago. Many of the phrases Christie uses and the references she makes are unfamiliar to today’s reader, especially Americans. Identifying those obscure terms makes reading Christie’s mysteries even more enjoyable.
Gingold recently presented a talk on her book at the International Agatha Christie Festival in Torquay, England. “Lost Lingo: Decoding the 1920s Novels for Today’s Readers” entertained a full house in the medieval barn at Torre Abbey. Gingold will have some mementos of that experience on display for Agatha Christie fans who might have the Festival on their bucket list.
