Bruegger's Bagels Returning to Downtown Next Week After 2011 Fire

A nice little come back story will be completed next week.

An fire destroyed the Bruegger's Bagels building on Iowa Avenue on Sept. 24, 2011, leading to the popular bagel joint being eventually totally demolished.

But now for the good news part: Bruegger's will be reopening next week at the exact same spot with some new features.

The bakery has been rebuilt on the same site at 225 Iowa Avenue with a fresh new look inside and out. Housed in a two-story building similar to the former structure, the bakery will include updated menu boards, lively colors and fabrics, more seating and an espresso bar featuring Bruegger’s Bagels’ custom-roasted coffee.
