Bus Schedules Published For New Iowa City Transit Routes That Begin On August 2
The new routes, stops, and bus schedules will take effect on August 2.

On June 1, 2021, the Iowa City City Council approved the Iowa City Area Transit Study Plan and associated transit system updates after a two-year study was completed. The new routes, stops, and bus schedules will take effect on Monday, August 2, 2021. New bus schedules are posted at https://www.icgov.org/busSchedules. Paper schedules will be available on buses and notifications posted on affected transit stops by mid-July.

Beginning on August 2, 2021, the Transit App will be updated with the new transit routes, stops, and bus schedules. You can input your destination into the app, and it will provide the routes and stops necessary to complete your trip.

On August 1, 2021, the Bongo website will be replaced with the Iowa City Area Transit website located at www.icareatransit.org. The site will provide similar information as the Bongo website including bus routes, stops, and bus arrival times for Iowa City Transit, Coralville Transit, and CAMBUS.
