Halloween is for carving, decorating and sometimes smashing pumpkins. But a group of local seniors used pumpkins to strike pins in a Halloween bowling contest at Morningside Place, an Anthem Memory Care community located at 6921 W. 81st St., Overland Park.

“Our residents are energized by trying new things,” said Sara Coss, life engagement director for Morningside Place. “Celebrating Halloween brings back happy memories, and using pumpkins in an unusual way is pure fun.”
