Ivybrook Academy, an award-winning half day pre-school that is growing rapidly across the nation, is expanding its footprint with the opening of its first campus in Kentucky. Construction for the new Louisville campus is underway at 13550 Lagrange Road. Ivybrook Academy Louisville is set to open its doors to students in August of 2023.

Ivybrook Academy owner Carrie Turk is very excited to bring the progressive way of learning to the area. She just hosted an official groundbreaking at the site of the campus on January 11. “We are excited to share Ivybrook’s unique curriculum with families who live and work in Louisville,” says Carrie. As a pediatric occupational therapist, Carrie thoroughly understands how children learn and develop. “I strongly believe that the early years’ experiences are the core foundation of a child’s future. When I learned about how Ivybrook’s progressive curriculum focused on the holistic needs of students, I jumped on the opportunity to open the first campus in Kentucky.”
The future Ivybrook Louisville campus will be a sight to see. The brand-new school will encompass 6,300 square feet. The preschool will hold half day classes for students from age 18 months through age 5. Each classroom is designed to meet the specific needs of each age group. For example, the toddler classroom is a safe and nurturing environment that allows the little ones to explore and express themselves through singing, dancing, reading, and art.

“The curriculum offered at Ivybrook is unlike anything I have ever seen,” explains Carrie. “I really like the balance of Reggio Emilia and Montessori, as well as the idea behind a half day program. It’s just enough time every day to set children up for success.”
