Community Care Campus continues to attract financial support (wave3.com) — Louisville’s planned $38 million Community Care Campus just secured a $2 million grant, pushing the city’s ambitious effort to create a pathway out of homelessness closer to reality. Facilities for homeless families are expected to open this spring, while Volunteers of America and Mayor Craig Greenberg lobby Frankfort for another $8 million to finish the project.
   

2. Louisville authorities cancel Golden Alert for 59-year-old man (wdrb.com) — Louisville authorities have canceled a Golden Alert for 59-year-old Sean Worsley after he was found safe, ending a brief search centered around South Preston Street and UofL Health Jewish Hospital. If you noticed police activity in that area Saturday, this is why, and officials say there’s no ongoing public safety concern tied to this case.
   

3. Gov. Andy Beshear announces $42M battery facility coming to Louisville, bringing 110 jobs (wdrb.com) — A new $42 million advanced materials and battery manufacturing plant is coming to Louisville, bringing 110 permanent jobs and about 390 construction jobs. California-based Anthro Energy will open its first Kentucky operation here, producing high-tech electrolytes for batteries and hiring for a range of skilled positions from technicians to engineers and facility managers.
   

4. Retro Louisville: World War II spurs quick growth of Rubbertown industrial area (courier-journal.com) — Louisville’s Rubbertown industrial district exploded in size during World War II, as local distilleries and new plants helped make the city the world’s leading supplier of synthetic rubber. Federal investment, LG&E’s power plant, and thousands of workers transformed the area within just three years. Archival photos from the University of Louisville highlight how this wartime boom reshaped the city’s industrial landscape.
