Elite Prep Basketball Circuit Grind Session Makes Stop in Louisville

Three-day showcase this weekend will feature 15 teams, 15 games, and an impressive lineup of some of the nation's top high school prospects.

A three-day showcase of some of the nation’s top high school basketball talent is happening at Seneca High School in Louisville this weekend.

The Grind Session is a winter circuit of high school basketball events from late November until early March that consists of elite teams from all over the United States, Canada, and Puerto Rico. To put into perspective how good this circuit is: over the past 10 years, nearly 100 players from the Grind Session have gone on to play in the NBA, including more than 20 who were chosen in the first round of the past two NBA drafts!

This weekend’s event will feature 15 teams from seven states and Canada, 15 games, and an impressive lineup of some of the nation’s top prospects.

Louisville’s Seneca High School, Fern Creek High School, and Marion C. Moore School will be three of the teams competing. Some of the other participating teams include Chi Prep (IL), DME Academy (FL), Dream City (AZ), Orangeville Prep (ON, CAN), Pace Academy (TX), SFBA Trinity Prep (NV), West Oaks (FL), and Winston Salem (NC), among others.

The competition will also showcase some of the nation’s top 100 prospects in the ’24, ’25 and ‘26 classes, including:
