LOUISVILLE, KY — Officials are working to identify a person whose leg and foot were discovered at a quarry in Louisville, according to the Courier-Journal.

The body parts were found in mid-May at the Southside Quarry, a former swimming destination that closed in 2018 and is now gated off, the Courier-Journal reported. If the person is not identified, the extremeties will be added to the National Missing and Unidentified Persons System, according to the Courier-Journal.

Also in Louisville, an upper extremity was discovered March 14 along the Ohio River, the Courier-Journal reported.
