The future of Louisville is looking bright, thanks to the incredible young people working to strengthen our community. In partnership with T-Mobile, Patch is proud to spotlight future leaders like Marie Laracy, who are making a positive impact in and around Louisville.

Marie, a senior at Presentation Academy in Louisville, exemplifies leadership and dedication through her involvement in various impactful initiatives. As a member of the Youth Ambassadors Leading Louisville (YALL) program, she collaborates with city officials and peers to shape Metro-sponsored events, fostering community engagement and leadership skills. Beyond her work in YALL, Marie is a committed athlete, joining the prestigious 400 Mile Club by running a total of 400 miles over the summer and earning first place in her age group at the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth Annual 5k.

In addition to her achievements in athletics and leadership programs, Marie has volunteered with the Jefferson County Indigent Burial Program, where she honored the lives of Louisville’s homeless by attending their burial ceremonies. She described the experience as a profound lesson in compassion and humanity, emphasizing the importance of being present for those without family.
