Shreve Memorial Library Hamilton/South Caddo Branch will host the Shreveport Bar Foundation Pro Bono Project on Tuesday, December 14. The Pro Bono Project provides free legal assistance by volunteer attorneys in civil matters for qualified indigent and low-income residents. Attorneys with the Pro Bono Project will answer legal questions specifically about domestic violence beginning at 5:30 p.m. at the Hamilton/South Caddo Branch, located at 2111 Bert Kouns Industrial Loop.

The program will take place from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the large meeting room of the Hamilton/South Caddo Branch and will provide a space for those affected by domestic violence to have their legal questions answered. Shreve Memorial Library patrons are asked to bring any questions they may have about domestic violence with them to the program. Additionally, the program will discuss topics such as restraining orders and protective orders, types of legal services available, and safe places for domestic violence victims to go.

The event is free and open to the public. Those interested in attending can visit the Hamilton/South Caddo Branch or call (318) 687-6824 to register.
