• Shreveport artists frustrated with arts council's use of AI; forum scheduled for January (ksla.com) — Shreveport-area artists are pushing back against the Shreveport Regional Arts Council’s recent use of AI-generated images, saying the council should hire local creatives and offer clearer guidance. After public criticism and blocked comments, SRAC has scheduled a public forum on AI in art for Jan. 8, 2026, giving local artists and residents a chance to weigh in.
   

• Shreveport Councilwoman Bowman Impressed with Virginia Data Centers During Fact-Finding Trip (1130thetiger.com) — Shreveport Councilwoman Ursula Bowman has returned from touring Virginia data centers, saying noise, neighborhood impact, and water use appeared far less disruptive than many District G residents feared. She reports the proposed Shreveport facility could bring about 150 jobs and water-system upgrades, and plans neighborhood meetings before the crucial December 18 City Council vote.
   

• Ufc star Dustin Poirier to headline Shreveport Card Show (ktalnews.com) — Shreveport fight fans can meet UFC star Dustin Poirier when he headlines the Shreveport Card Show at the Shreveport Convention Center on January 3, 2026. With only 300 autograph slots and just 10 VIP meet-and-greet tickets available, organizers expect more than 5,000 attendees and over 350 tables of sports cards, Pokémon, memorabilia, and collectibles.
