Greater Shreveport Chamber Names Allyson Walker Director Of Marketing, Communications, And Public Relations

The Greater Shreveport Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that Allyson Walker has been appointed as the Chamber’s Director of Marketing, Communications, and Public Relations.

Walker, a Shreveport native and Northwestern State University graduate, is a local marketing and communications professional who brings large market, small market and global experience to the role. Walker was most recently the Marketing Manager for the Shreveport-Bossier Sports Commission where she supported the more than 100 events hosted by the Sports Commission each year.
“We’re delighted to welcome Allyson to the Chamber team,” stated Dr. Timothy Magner, President of the Chamber. “Allyson brings a unique combination of creativity and analytics in both online and traditional marketing, as well as experience delivering compelling campaigns on tight deadlines.”

Walker will be working to help further the Chamber’s efforts to grow business and build community by providing enhanced visibility opportunities at Chamber events and activities and increasing the Chamber’s brand profile. As one of the Chamber’s leading advocates for businesses in our area, she will work to translate the Chamber’s current achievements, successes, and programs into greater impact on the community and even more value for Chamber members.
“I’m eager to take my experiences abroad and in large domestic markets to help the Chamber and Chamber members tell their stories in our region,” said Allyson Walker. “I’m excited to be able to bring my talents and passion for marketing back home to help grow Shreveport and the Shreveport Chamber.”
