$1 Million Scratch-Off Winner Sold In Anne Arundel County

ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, MD — A $1 million scratch-off win in Anne Arundel County was the Maryland Lottery’s biggest prize of the past week. The $20 Millionaire’s Club ticket sold at 7-Eleven, 4450 Solomons Island Road in Harwood was worth a million bucks.

The game's top prize is $1 million, with three top prize scratch-offs remaining, the lottery said.

Another scratch-off sold last week in Baltimore County delivered a $100,000 prize, and five other tickets that were sold in Baltimore City, Clarksville, Clinton, Hagerstown and Silver Spring each paid $50,000 prizes.

The Maryland Lottery paid $33.2 million in prizes statewide during the week of Sept. 16-Sept. 22, according to a news release.

Winners are encouraged to sign the backs of tickets and keep winning tickets in a safe location, lottery officials said. Tickets for draw games expire 182 days after the drawing. FAST PLAY tickets expire 182 days after their purchase date. The last date to claim for scratch-offs is on the game’s tile on the scratch-off page.

Winners of prizes larger than $25,000 must redeem their tickets at the Maryland Lottery Customer Resource Center in Baltimore, which is open by appointment only.

Prizes up to $25,000 can be claimed at the cashier’s windows at any of Maryland’s six casinos. Prizes of up to $5,000 can be claimed at any of more than 400 Expanded Cashing Authority Program locations.

All Maryland Lottery retailers are authorized to redeem tickets up to and including $600.
