13,000 Gallons of Wastewater Spills into Weems Creek
Corroded pipe is blamed for the wastewater leakage, county officials said.

An estimated 13,800 gallons of wastewater poured into Weems Creek on Wednesday through a break in a corroded 14-inch pipe on Jennifer Road, county officials said.
The pipe break was found approximately 150 feet from the Jennifer Road Pump Station, according to a news release from the Anne Arundel County Department of Public Works.
"The estimated 13,860-gallon wastewater spill reached Weems Creek. The area was cleaned and limed. The County Health Department and Maryland Department of the Environment were notified," according to the release.
