WMAR reported that Sarah Cahalan and her husband opened the business, which is sometimes called "Annapolis' Living Room," on Dec. 27, 1995.

"Our locals are what helped us get through all our hard times. They're here daily and weekly. That includes all our musicians who play here. We have art shows, and almost seven nights a week, we have live music," Cahalan told WMAR.

Paintings, illustrations and photographs line the walls. The back room serves as an intimate concert venue, where roughly 10 tables can enjoy music ranging from jazz to folk. There's also an open mic night on the fourth Tuesday of every month.

The breakfast menu features everything from housemade quiche to brioche French Toast.

Another favorite is Sarah's All Day Bowl — steamed rice, sesame oil and soy sauce with poached eggs or pan-fried tofu, steamed broccoli, sliced avocado, scallions and sesame seeds.

"This is something I grew up eating when my parents weren't home. My mom always had rice in the rice cooker, and we'd fry up some eggs. It was just a nice meal to get us through between coming home from school and dinner time," Cahalan told WMAR.

For lunch and dinner, the rosemary chicken and the Margherita flatbread are staples. Korean options include the spicy Korean chicken lettuce wrap, bulgogi and Korean sesame tuna.
