4th of July Fireworks Guide 2016: Maryland Events

Fireworks will be going off all over Maryland during the long 4th of July weekend.

Most fireworks are not legal in Maryland. Check with your local municipality for laws regarding fireworks.

Therefore, you'll probably want to check out one of the events below.

Annapolis: 4th of July Parade, live music and fireworks.

Bel Air: Costume contest, "Uncle Sam Says," Watermelon Eating Competition, evening parade and fireworks.

Baltimore City: Fireworks return to the Inner Harbor. Live music, followed by fireworks display.

Baltimore County: Several firework events throughout the weekend.

Bowie: Bowie Baysox event, including post-game fireworks.

Columbia: Live entertainment and food vendors. Fireworks at dusk on Lake Kittamaqundi.

D.C.: Celebration on the National Mall, fireworks viewable at several locations along the Potomac.

Fort Meade: Kiddie train, zip lines, live music and fireworks.

Havre de Grace: Parade and fireworks on July 3.

Montgomery County: Several community events across Montgomery County.

Rockville: City celebration begins at 5 p.m. with peace gathering.
