Annapolis High Getting New Principal
The new principal, Sue Chittim, was previously the assistant principal at Glen Burnie High.

Annapolis High School Principal Don Lilley announced Wednesday that Sue Chittim would be succeeding him as head of the school in the fall.
Lilley wrote in a letter to parents that he was filled with mixed emotions about the transition, but he was "proud of the transformation that has taken place," at the school he oversaw for nine years.
Starting June 26, Lilley will become the school system's Director of Administrative and Supervisory Leadership Development, which oversees recruitment and development for new principals.
"I have no doubt that the teamwork that has been evident throughout my tenure here will continue in the years to come. I also have no doubt that you will support Mrs. Chittim, our staff, and our students every bit as much as you have supported me," Lilley wrote.
Chittim brings with her more than 20 years of experience as an educator. For the past two years, she has served as an assistant principal at Glen Burnie High School. Chittim also taught math at AHS from 1986 to 1998.
She has also been active with several girls' lacrosse groups across Anne Arundel County including club team CCLax, QuickStix recreational league and coach of the AHS team during her tenure there.
Chittim will begin her duties as principal at Annapolis High School over the summer.
