Police Report More Thefts from Vehicles, Stolen Bicycles

The following incidents were reported by the Annapolis Police Department.

Annapolis police responded to a number of incidents in the city during the past week.

April 4—A vehicle parked in the 1300 block of Homewood Lane had its driver’s side window smashed. The vehicle had been ransacked, but nothing was taken.  Previously this vehicle had been left unlocked and a large amount of money stolen from it, according to police.

April 5—An unsecured bicycle was stolen from the 1200 block of Virginia Street. The bike was taken from the front porch of a home, and is described as a 24-inch, girls mountain bicycle that is purple with an orange stripe.

April 5—An unsecured bicycle was stolen from the 300 block of Rogers Heights Road. The bike was later located secured to a light pole at Admiral Drive and West Street.

April 6—Three unlocked vehicles were entered overnight in the unit block of Belvedere and Landings courts. Money was taken from one vehicle and two other vehicles were entered, but nothing taken.

April 6—A burglary was reported in the 200 block of Gross Avenue. A Dell Alienware laptop computer was stolen from a home. Entry was gained through an unlocked garage door, according to a police report.

April 6—An attempt was made to force open the front door of a home in the 700 block of Fairview Avenue. The attempt caused damage to the door and lock. However, no entry was made into the apartment, according to a police report.

April 6-7—A white 2000 Cadillac DeVille was stolen from the 200 block of Admiral Drive. The vehicle was later recovered by Metropolitan Police Department on Sunday at 10:30 p.m. No arrests were made.
