City of Annapolis Addresses Early Morning Customer Demand for Parking
The City is working with Annapolis Partnership to address the shortage of early morning parking.

From the City of Annapolis:
Annapolis, MD - The City of Annapolis is working with local businesses to address the need for more available parking during the early morning hours in the Market Space area.
Currently, nine parking spots are dedicated as a loading zone during the hours 7 and 11 a.m. However, the increase of local businesses now opening as early as 6 a.m. at the north end of Market Space is increasing the demand for the few spaces available.

The city will be bagging the loading zone signs for the nine spaces to allow 30 minute parking all day, on a temporary basis beginning this weekend. In the meantime the city is working with Annapolis Partnership, which is conducting a comprehensive study on all loading zones in the downtown area to determine the optimal locations and hours for loading zones that allow trucks to park and make deliveries to local businesses.
For more information on the study, please contact Hollis Minor at hgminor@annapolis.gov.
