DRY 85 Owner Riffs on Past Career as Newsman

In this video, former Fox 5 anchor Brian Bolter's news persona just can't be stopped.

A new speakeasy in downtown Annapolis, DRY 85, is right around the corner from its grand opening.

No date has been set, but the bar's co-owner Brian Bolter has put out a promotional video riffing on his past as a news anchor for Fox 5 in DC.

"Who doesn't occasionally talk to themselves in an overly promotional tone? "we're all guilty," joked Bolter in the video. "But the transition to full-time restaurateur, that's smooth sailing."

If you've traveled down Main Street over the summer, you've probably noticed the enigmatic sign for DRY 85, promising a prohibition-style speakeasy with a penchant for bourbon. The bar is an offshoot of Red Red Wine Bar downtown, owned by Brian and Lisa Bolter.

Bolter has been providing regular Facebook updates on the progress of construction at the site throughout the summer. Check the business' Facebook page here.
