Crews said they found the 22,500-square-foot warehouse 75 percent on fire with nobody inside.
Firefighters also said explosions could be heard from inside.
A building occupant said the facility had a substantial fuel load, including hydraulic fluid containment, the release stated.
First responders said they called for a second alarm, given the building's size and the amount of fire.
A team of 98 said it used water brought to the scene to protect the attached business and several exposed vehicles.
Crews said they simultaneously set up a sustainable water supply to obtain the amount of water needed to control the main portion of the fire. This area does not have fire hydrants.
It took about three hours to control the blaze, firefighters said.
