Ramen, Dumpling Restaurant Opens In Anne Arundel County
A ramen and dumpling restaurant just opened in Anne Arundel County. Teriyaki shrimp and caramelized eel are other specialties.

ANNAPOLIS, MD — A new ramen and dumpling restaurant just debuted in Annapolis.
House of Umami is open for business in the Festival at Riva, the shopping center announced on Tuesday. The eatery is sandwiched between ATI Physical Therapy and Hangry Joe's Hot Chicken.
"Serving up twists on your favorite Asian-inspired cuisines, and a few new ones, check them out and give them a warm welcome to the Festival at Riva family," the center said on Facebook.

Appetizers include crab rangoon and potstickers. There are also spring rolls and steamed bao buns stuffed with a choice of protein.
The artisan ramen simmers for up to 12 hours in all-natural ingredients. Options range from chicken to Tantanmen, a spicy braised pork belly.

Ten dumplings cost $12. Soup dumplings are another favorite.
Donburi bowls combine mix-ins with salmon or tuna. Other bowls feature teriyaki shrimp or unadon, a caramelized eel.
Desserts are all $6. There's ice cream, tempura cheesecake and mochi, a Japanese rice cake.
House of Umami, located at 2329 Forest Drive Suite A, is open daily from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Online ordering is available.
