Franchise Owner Martin Gorman will be on hand to discuss his plans for the new restaurant.

"Please join us to celebrate the new location of Ledo Pizza, Severna Park," the Greater Severna Park and Arnold Chamber of Commerce said in the event posting. "Opening in 1998, Ledo Pizza has been a staple in our community and a gathering place for so many events over the years."

Ledo Pizza opened in 1955 in Prince George's County. The chain known for its rectangular pizzas now has 86 locations in Maryland, including 12 in Anne Arundel County. Ledo Pizza also has restaurants in eight other East Coast states and Washington, D.C.

The Severna Park eatery's relocation announcement sparked fond memories for former workers.

"I interviewed for my first job here in 2011 and I remember driving home excited that I got the job to make pizzas in the kitchen and wash dishes at the Millersville location," Jason Drecchio replied on Facebook. "[It was the] most fun job I’ve ever had. [I] worked there through the rest of high school and all through college. Thank you Martin, Dustin, and the rest of the Ledo family!"

Former employee Kenny Sweet lives out of state and still drives to another town for the occasional slice of Ledo Pizza.

"[Ledo Pizza was] my first serving job 18 years ago and had a great work family," Sweet commented on Facebook. "[It's] insane to say it's been that long.... Now living in Florida I'm lucky enough to make the occasional drive to Tampa to grab some Ledo Pizza a couple times a year. [I] wish I could have it more often!"
