1 Arrested, 1 Flees In Annapolis Auto Theft Arrest
The theft follows a string of auto thefts over the weekend.

Annapolis police arrested a man early Tuesday in connection with a car theft, police said.
At 1:15 a.m., Annapolis police officers tried to pull over a blue 2006 Hyundai Sonata near Drew Street and Dominoe Road for traffic violations, according to police. The two people in the car ran. One, 18-year-old Harold Mackell of the unit block of Marcs Court in Annapolis, was arrested.
At roughly the same time the car was stopped, the Sonata's owner called to report the car stolen. Mackell was charged with theft, unlawful taking of a motor vehicle, unauthorized removal of property and being rogue and vagabond. He was released by the court commissioner, according to police.
The vehicle's other occupant was not apprehended.
Police investigated several unrelated auto thefts and thefts from cars over the weekend.
