UPDATE: Man Shot in Annapolis Neighborhood

The man's condition was not known as of 1 p.m. Thursday.

Updated (4 p.m., June 27)—Annapolis police have said the shooting victim was a 23-year-old male, who was shot in the torso. His condition is believed to be stable after being transported to a hospital in Baltimore, according to a release.

The man was found shot off Tyler Avenue on Thursday afternoon, Annapolis police said.

Annapolis Police Department spokesman Cpl. Amy Miguez said at 12:06 p.m. the department received information that a man had been shot in the 1400 block of Tyler Avenue, near basketball courts in the area.

The man, who had been shot an unknown number of times, was taken by ambulance to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore, Miguez said. 

Miguez said officers are currently investigating the incident, and more information would be made available later Thursday.
