Lockdown Lifted At MD State House After 2nd Straight Day With Bomb Threat
The lockdown was lifted at the Maryland State House. This was the second straight day with an unfounded bomb threat.

ANNAPOLIS, MD — The Maryland State House was locked down for about an hour on Wednesday. It was the second straight day with an unfounded bomb threat at the State House in Annapolis.
"At approximately 3:38 p.m., the Annapolis Police Department received a phone call from an individual making a bomb threat to the Maryland State House. The Maryland Capitol Police blocked off traffic around the State House," Maryland Department of General Services spokesperson Nick Cavey told Patch in a Wednesday email. "The Maryland Capitol Police, with support from the Annapolis Police Department, conducted a comprehensive search of the State House and surrounding areas, following standard security protocols. At 4:41 p.m., the Maryland Capitol Police issued an all-clear order for the campus and the State House."

The State House was also evacuated Tuesday around 3:45 p.m. when somebody called the Annapolis Police Department with a bomb threat, the Maryland Department of General Services said.
The Maryland Capitol Police, which is operated by the Department of General Services, searched inside and outside the building with help from the Annapolis Police Department.

The Maryland Capitol Police gave the all-clear notice at 5:21 p.m. Tuesday, the Department of General Services said. Normal operations resumed thereafter.
