Naval Bagels Expanding to More Than Triple its Seating
The expansion hopes to add enough extra space to house between 30 and 50 customers, a store employee said.
The popular bagel shop in Annapolis hopes to expand its Taylor Avenue location to an empty laundromat next door.
Employee Brice Fishback said Naval Bagels is awaiting approval of one more permit from the City of Annapolis before the expansion can begin.
Currently, the business can only house about a dozen or so customers inside, and a few on its two outdoor tables. But if the expansion is approved by city officials, the business will expand through the wall in vacant Academy Cleaners.
The expansion hopes to add enough extra space to house between 30 and 50 customers, Fishback said. The amount of space will depend on how large the expansion is.
The work is expected to be completed by the end of the year, he said.
