"We’re excited to bring Naval Bagels to Edgewater and offer our delicious menu items to the community," Operator Craig Rentch said in a May 13 press release. "We’ve been fortunate to have incredible support over the years, and we can’t wait to share our signature flavors and bagels with the people of Edgewater. It’s going to be an amazing opportunity for us to serve the best bagels in town."
Dara Adams and Sean Adams opened Naval Bagels in 2000. Sean Adams, a California Culinary Academy graduate and former Executive Chef for Wyndham Hotels, mastered bagel-making in New York City. He still crafts bagels the traditional way: boiled and baked.
"Beyond their delectable bagels, Naval Bagels is dedicated to community involvement, sponsoring school auctions, cancer benefits, and local sporting events like Naval Academy Athletics," Hyatt Commercial Real Estate said in the release. "The new Edgewater location will continue this legacy while serving up bagels with unparalleled speed and efficiency."
Hyatt agents George Shenas and Collin Mercier secured the shop's lease.
