New High-Speed Rail Line Could Bypass Baltimore for Annapolis
One of the four plans under review for the new rail line selects Annapolis instead of Baltimore for a rail station.

Baltimore may be bypassed for Annapolis on a high-speed rail line being considered for the East Coast by the Federal Railroad Administration, reports The Baltimore Business Journal.
The creation of a new rail line for the Northeast that would accommodate trains traveling up to 220 mph is currently under discussion by the organization.
This month, the administration released four plans for the rail line—three which included a downtown Baltimore rail station, and one which bypasses Baltimore for Annapolis, The Journal reports.
