
Annapolis officials will officially dedicate the renovated Truxtun skate park in a ceremony Saturday morning.
The activities will begin at 11 a.m. and will include a ribbon-cutting, skate competition with cash prizes, giveaways and refreshments.
Mayor Michael Pantelides will attend along with “local skateboard enthusiasts,” the city says.

The competitions will include a best trick and jam contest with prizes totaling $1,000, according to pureboardshop.com.
“Media outlets and city officials will be attending, so this is more than just a regular jam at Truxtun, there will also be music and food,” the website says. “So invite anybody you know that has a skateboard and come out to celebrate our new improved skatepark on November 7th.”

There’s also a Facebook page for the event, which shows at least 53 people scheduled to attend.
