The Oxon Hill suspect accused of shooting a child and killing a man at an Annapolis bus stop was arrested in Washington, D.C., police said.

ANNAPOLIS, MD — The Oxon Hill man accused of killing a man and shooting an 11-year-old in Annapolis was arrested Monday morning in Washington, D.C., police said.
Officers said they took Roscoe Jerome Jones, 31, into custody around 7:11 a.m. The operation was led by the U.S. Marshals Service and the Metropolitan Police Department in collaboration with the Annapolis Police Department.
Jones awaits extradition to Maryland, where authorities said he is charged with murder in the death of John Simms Jr., 36, of Annapolis.

Simms' wife thinks the shooting stemmed from the suspect's child bullying the Simms' child. Simms' wife told FOX 45 that she and her husband spoke with Jones and his girlfriend about the bullying the day before the shooting. Simms' wife alleged that Jones targeted her family the next day at the bus stop.
Police said the shooting happened March 19 around 7:30 a.m. in the 100 block of Clay Street. That was before school while about a dozen students were waiting for the bus, the superintendent said.
