Part Of Bay Bridge To Temporarily Close Sunday For 10K

The eastbound span of the Bay Bridge will be closed from about 12:01 a.m. until 2 p.m. Sunday, November 8, for the Across The Bay 10K.

The westbound span of the bridge will handle two-way traffic, with one lane going each way, and drivers should expect “significant delays” during the day, the Anne Arundel County Fire Department is warning.

The department is asking motorists to travel before 6 a.m. or after 6 p.m.

“Further, over 25,000 Bay Bridge 10K participants will be parking, departing and returning via charter bus from three locations in the area: Navy Marine Corps Stadium, Park & Ride at Harry Truman Parkway, and Anne Arundel Community College,” the department said in a Facebook post.

“Traffic in these areas is likely to be congested through mid-afternoon.”
