The Whiskey's Last Show is Saturday

The Whiskey, a popular music venue and bar, will close its doors at the end of this month, an employee confirmed with Patch.

Located on West Street, The Whiskey has been one of the city's destinations for musical acts for several years. The final live music show will perform June 29, where The Cheaters with Sweet Leda & Floozie will perform on the Annapolis stage.

The owner of The Whiskey, Mike Hearne, did not return phone calls made by Patch seeking comment on the closing.

According to Eye On Annapolis, Hearne sold the business to a new owner, who intends to renovate the location and reopen the venue in 2014.
