The Annapolis Police Department has made some progress in the growing threat of vehicle thefts. On Thursday, the department announced that five men have been charged with four thefts from vehicles. It's the end result of a series of investigations into incidents dating back to the beginning of the month.
3. Two Annapolis Sailors Rescued After Shipwreck

An Annapolis sea captain and his crew were shipwrecked after a storm struck them at sea, dousing them in waves the size of three-story buildings. The crew was rescued by the coast guard after being stranded in a deadly storm in March in their power sailboat Andante II along the shore of Cape Lookout, NC. The Andante has not been found since that fateful night on March 6.

The Lombardi Trophy earned by the Baltimore Ravens in the 2013 Super Bowl in February will be brought to Annapolis by members of the team on Thursday. Sen. Mike Miller (D-District 27) said Wednesday that prominent members of the team would visit Annapolis to bring the trophy to the State Legislature early Thursday.
5. Residents Cry Foul Over 5-Story Buildings at City Dock
More green space and room for new business ventures could benefit a transformed City Dock, but the potential for five-story buildings at the historic destination has some residents urging planners to take caution.
At a public hearing at Annapolis City Hall on Thursday, dozens of residents spoke out about the City Dock Master Plan that establishes guidelines on how the gateway to the city's downtown could grow over time. The plan was unveiled in October, created by the 25-member City Dock Advisory Committee.
