Tree Smashes Car at Annapolis Police Department in Storm

The police officer's vehicle was damaged after high winds in the area blew over a tree.

A large tree fell on a parked car at the Annapolis Police Department during the afternoon storm on Thursday.

The Dodge Durango was the personal vehicle of a police officer who was inside the building when the tree fell, according to police spokeswoman Amy Miguez.

The tree also smashed through a gate, scratched the brick on the side of the building and broke a window at the department's Taylor Avenue headquarters.
